Mary Bradshaw | Sentinel Times

Baxter Springs, Kansas – Mary E. Bradshaw, age 82, died on Monday, September 9, 2019, in Quaker Hill nursing home, in Lowell. She was born in Galena, to Zara Tieso and Roy Watkins, on July 8, 1937. She enjoyed cooking, bingo, playing games, casino trips and enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Nina. She worked at the Galena nursing home, as well as for Dr. Bazzano. Later in years she worked for TISD, Temple, Texas, as a custodian. She also had worked at Scott and White Hospital and Clinic in the xray file room.
Mary E. Watkins married Van O. Bradshaw on June 5, 1954, in Columbus. They had six children, Robert, Cindy, Walter, Clay, James, and Tami. She was a wonderful mom, sister, aunt, and grandma, to many. Mary is survived by a son, Robert Bradshaw (wife, Melissa) Webb City, Missouri; daughter, Cindy Clemens (husband, Paul) Galena; son, Clay Bradshaw (wife, Rosa), Crestview,Florida; son, James Bradshaw (wife, Debra), Oenaville, Texas; daughter, Tami Moreau, (husband, Mike) of Spring Branch, Texas. Mary is also survived by a sister, Julia Andrews (Dennis ) Galena; three brothers, Burt Watkins (Cathy) Joplin, Missouri, Rodney Watkins (Judy) Riverton, Tom Watkins (Cindy) Galena; sister-in-law, Shirley Watkins, and many grandchildren; and great grandchildren, who knew her as grandma and mima; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Van Bradshaw; one son, Walter Bradshaw and his wife, Cindy; as well as her parents, Roy and Zara Watkins; also three brothers, Carlos Watkins, Roy Watkins Jr., and Milton Watkins.
No services are planned at this time; the family will receive friends on Thursday, September 12, from 6pm – 8pm at the Galena Community Center Galena.
