Baxter Springs, Kan. – Phyllis Ann Overman Clark, age 58 passed away at 6:08 pm, Sunday, April 27, 2014 suddenly at her home.
Phyllis was born December 3, 1955 in Columbus, Kan. Her parents were Melvin and Erma Jean (Rowten) Overman. She was a lifetime resident of Cherokee County.
She graduated from Columbus High School with the class of 1973. She last worked as an equipment operator for Superior Bowen of Kansas City, Mo. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved being around the farm.
Phyllis was married at Ronald Clark on September 3, 1989 in Miami, Okla. He survives.
Additional survivors include one stepson, Chad Clark (wife, Tammy) , Mindenmines, Mo.; one brother, Larry Overman, address unknown; one sister, Linda Henderson (husband, Randy), Abilene, Texas; 8 step grandchildren and 12 great step grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by step son, Robert Clark.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Columbus, Kan. Pastor Audie Tash will officiate. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Columbus.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 pm, Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Columbus, Kan.
