The Columbus FFA chapter hosted a Food For America program for third graders from Highland School. Students came to the high school and learned about production agriculture which included products that we get from animals and crops. They were able to interact and pet goats, chickens, a dairy cow and beef steer. The students also learned about pigs and crops. The purpose of the program was to raise awareness of agriculture in our area and where their food comes from. The Columbus FFA Chapter is raising awareness for agriculture one step at a time. Thank you to the Highland teachers and administration for allowing this opportunity.
