Quaker Hill Manor is taking therapy to the outdoors with a life size TherapyLand Board. The physical therapists were instructed to think outside the box and come up with some different ways to conduct physical therapy. The staff came up with a CandyLand theme and painted squares on the lawn outback, turning it into a life sized game board for the
residents to play and complete their physical therapy.
Different stations were set up to work on standing and balance, coordination, speech and language, recall and memory, fine motor skills, hand strengthening, neurological. Some of these help with re-education of skills and some help with every day tasks of their brushing teeth and hair and to help them with eating.
